Diet-coded tray kits for hospitals, in stock and ready to ship.
Hospital and healthcare foodservice distributors have struggled to source pre-assembled dietary tray kits since the national lines were cut back. Most kitchens are left building sugar-free, low-sodium and regular condiment sets by hand, or buying generic wrapped cutlery with no diet marking at all.
Medd Max manufactures the full line: diet-coded condiment kits, tray kits with straw and napkin, complete meal kits with heavyweight cutlery, and wrapped cutlery kits in heavyweight, mediumweight and compostable CPLA. All 19 kits are UPC-coded, case-packed and stocked in our New Jersey warehouse for distributor and health-system orders.
The kits are used on patient tray lines in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation and senior living communities, behavioral health and correctional foodservice, anywhere a therapeutic diet order has to be matched to a tray. Color coding follows the diet conventions dietary departments already use: yellow for sugar free, gray for low sodium, orange for low sodium plus sugar free, blue for regular.
For distributors we supply new-item setup data in your template, cross-reference to the kit SKUs your customers order today, sample cases for tray-line trials, and private-label runs. Minimum 25 cases per order, mixed SKUs allowed, Net 30 on approved credit.
Built to drop into a national catalog.
Every kit is UPC-coded, case-packed and documented to the level a category team needs. Medd Max manufactures the line, holds inventory in our own warehouse, and runs cross-reference, sampling and conversion with your team.
Good to know.
Where can a hospital distributor buy dietary tray kits?
Directly from Medd Max. We manufacture all 19 kits, stock them in our warehouse and sell to healthcare foodservice distributors, redistributors and health systems. Minimum order is 25 cases, mixed SKUs, with distributor pricing on request.
Why color-code condiment kits?
Therapeutic diets fail at the tray line, not in the kitchen. A sugar packet on a diabetic tray or a salt packet on a cardiac tray is the most common diet-order error in long-term care. A color band and printed diet name on the pouch let the aide, nurse or CNA confirm the kit against the tray card without opening it.
What do the colors mean?
Yellow is Sugar Free, gray is Low Sodium, orange is Low Sodium plus Sugar Free, blue is Regular. Cutlery-only kits come in clear pouches. The system matches the diet-code conventions most dietary departments already use.
Can you match our existing kit SKUs?
Yes. Send us your current kit item numbers and we return a line-by-line cross-reference with any component differences noted.
Do you offer samples?
Yes. Sample cases of any kit for tray-line trials, at no cost to qualified distributors and facilities.
What are the minimums and terms?
25 cases per order for distributor accounts, mixed SKUs allowed. Net 30 terms on approved credit. Pallet and truckload programs available.
What is in the salt-free seasoning blend?
Dehydrated onion, garlic, carrot, tomato, citrus and spices, 0.4 g per packet. No salt. It replaces the salt packet in the low-sodium kits that carry it.
Can you private-label or change components?
Yes. Pouch printing, component counts and cutlery weight can all be specified for a distributor program or a health-system standard.
